From October 25 to October 28, the world famous classification Lloyd's Register opened a surveyors training program together with the university for Asia-Pacific Region. This program was five-day long and the teaching and practice was aided by the Marine Engine Room Simulator developed by SMU. There were 13 surveyors from countries like China, New Zealand and India, etc.
They had received the training of Marine Control, Safety Inspection and Marine Electrical Inspection. The teaching staff from SMU and the experts from the headquarter of Lloyd's Register in London had taught lessons to the surveyors by using the method of combing lessons with situational simulation. The scientific researchers of SMU had made thorough preparation and made improvements in both software and hardware on the basis of last year. This time they had perfectly fulfilled their tasks.
