Graduation Ceremony of Third SMU-RMU Joint B.Sc. Degree Program in Logistics Management Held
2016-7-1

On June 11th local time, the graduation ceremony of the third session of students who attended the SMU-RMU logistics management program was held in Accra, Ghana. Ms. Men Yanping, Vice Chairman of SMU University Council and Secretary of SMU Commission, attended the graduation ceremony and delivered a speech.

 

Attendees also included: Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Transportation Secretary in Ghana and Chairman of RMU Council, Mr. Sam Okudzeto- Ablakwa, Vice Secretary of Education in Ghana, Mr. M. A. Jalloh, Minister of Transport and Aviation of Sierra Leone, Mr. Charles Gono, Vice Director of Maritime Administration of Liberia.

 

Ms. Men Yanping conveyed her congratulations to the 30 graduates, and expressed her appreciation to the hardworking teachers. She also encouraged the graduates jointly trained by SMU and RMU to make contributions to the shipping and logistics industry of Africa as well as to the friendship between China and West Africa.  

 

Prof. Elvis Nyarko, President of RMU, said that this program got fruitful results, graduates from which were welcomed by employers, and he thanked SMU for the cooperative education program in Ghana, which has made great contribution to regional construction of Central and West Africa.

 

These 30 graduates were issued diplomas from SMU and RMU, and gained B.Sc. Degree conferred by PRC.

 

The Best Student of this program, Otchere Hannah Ayensu from Ghana, was selected as the only 2016 Best Graduate of RMU. At the same time, he received 5 scholarships in RMU, which showed the high teaching quality between SMU and RMU. Otchere Hannah Ayensu, as a student representative in the ceremony, gave a speech on the graduation ceremony; he expressed his thanks to the excellent educating resources and high quality of teaching provided by SMU, and he hoped that SMU and RMU could be better the future.
