On May 13, Mr. Harry Laragione, President of Maritime College of San Diego, USA visited SMU. Prof. Yu Shicheng, President of SMU, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, relevant departments in charge met with the guests.
During the conversation, Prof. Yu Shicheng, President of SMU extended warm welcome to President Laragione. He introduced the visions, values and educational system at SMU, and the cooperation with the relevant maritime schools in US. Mr. Laragione gave an introduction about the education, training and prospect of Maritime College of San Diego. The two sides both hoped that they could deepen understanding about each other and share the experiences of maritime education and training in order to promote the communication between two sides and the cooperation in teaching and scientific researching.
