On May 4, more than 20 members from the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) paid a visit to SMU. Prof. Zhou Xizhao of the Economics and Management College and relative members from the International Office gave the guests a warm reception.
Prof. Song Bingliang from the Economics and Management College delivered a lecture entitled The Construction of Shanghai as an International Logistics Center, and had a discussion with the guests on relevant topics. The guests also paid a visit to the COSTAMARE Engine Room Integrated Laboratory, and the Marine Engine Simulator.
The EUCCC was founded in 2000. Its members include EU enterprises of various commercial fields spreading over China. EUCCC consists of 31 work groups and forums and convenes senior members of various fields, who have a series of strategic discussions on topics such as the market access and changes of business environment. Most members of the EUCCC delegation come from the navigation work group and the logistics work group.
