The Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Danish Class for Duty and Safety of Marine Engineer was Held at SMU

On the morning of May 14, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Danish Class for Duty and Safety of Marine Engineer was held at SMU. Mr. Erik Andreassen, Principal of the Copenhagen Marine Engineer College and Electrical Installation Engineer College, teachers and 48 students from the Copenhagen Marine Engineer College and Electrical Installation Engineer College, Prof Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, leaders of relative departments and teachers from the Merchant Marine College of SMU attended the ceremony.

The 48 Danish students who attended the class all came from the Copenhagen Marine Engineer College and Electrical Installation Engineer College. The class would last for two weeks. Apart from the classes on Lingang new campus of SMU, the students would also go to the Pingwang Training Base to accept the lifeboat operation training. Besides, the university would organize numerous rich and colorful cultural activities for the Danish students and the students from SMU so as to facilitate the mutual-understanding between the young people.
