On May 17, Prof. Herbert Zickfeld, President of Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (FUAS), Dr. Heike Bille, Vice President of FUAS, Prof. Peter Jochimsen, President of Baltic Sea International Campus and another two guests paid a visit to SMU. Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU, Mr. Wang Haiwei, Assistant to the President of SMU and leaders of relevant departments gave the guests a warm reception.
Prof. Huang Youfang delivered a welcome speech. He said that SMU and FUAS had had exchanges before, and this visit would facilitate the mutual-understanding between the two sides. He hoped that the two sides could communicate and cooperate with each other in the aspects of shipping techniques, logistics, new energy, scientific research and student exchange programs, etc.
Prof. Herbert Zickfeld, President of FUAS gave a brief introduction about FUAS. He said that the teaching and experimental facilities on the new campus of SMU were very impressive. He wished that the two sides could cooperate with each other in an all-round way.
After the meeting, the guests also paid a visit to the COSTAMARE Engine Room Integrated Laboratory, the Marine Engine Simulator and the library of SMU.
