On May 18, Mr. K. H. Leung, Director of the Information Technology Services Centre of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) paid a visit to SMU to communicate with SMU about the educational administration information system. Mr. Wang Haiwei, assistant to the president of SMU and leaders of relative department attended this meeting.
Mr. K. H. Leung briefed on the organization and management structures and the responsibilities of the ITSC. He also shared his experience of implementing the educational administration information system in the past three year, which set a good example for SMU to follow. After the meeting, Mr. Mr. K. H. Leung answered the questions of the audiences about educational administration.
CUHK is one of the global top 10 prestigious comprehensive universities characterized by relatively high level of informatization. In the background of shortening the undergraduate programs from four- year to three- year, CUHK has adopted a new EPR educational administration system together with the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The EPR educational administration system shares a lot in common with our university’s educational administration information system.
