On the morning of May 30, the Kap Hwan Kim Guest Professor Appointment Ceremony for the Scientific Research Academy of SMU was held at the Scientific Research Building. Prof. Kap Hwan Kim from the Pusan National University of Korea was appointed as Guest Professor of SMU.
Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU conferred the letter of appointment to Prof. Kap Hwan Kim. Prof. Hu Xiong, Dean of the Logistics Engineering College gave a brief introduction of the basic information and academic achievements of Prof. Kap Hwan Kim and the long-term cooperative relations between SMU and Prof. Kap Hwan Kim.
Prof. Kap Hwan Kim expressed that he felt great honored to be the Guest Professor of SMU. He also spoke highly of the research and teaching capabilities of SMU in the realm of port logistics. He hoped that the two sides could reinforce their cooperation so as to facilitate the development of both sides.
Prof. Kap Hwan Kim stayed at SMU as a visiting professor for six months in 2009. This year he gave lessons on Port Logistics to the postgraduates of the Scientific Research Academy for five days.
