On June 8, under the guidance of Dr. Oleg A. Bukin, Vice Rector of the Maritime State University of Russia, accompanied by 50 teachers and students paid a visit to the Shanghai Maritime University. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU, as well as leaders from the Merchant Marine College and Information Engineering College gave the guests a warm reception.
Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU extended his warm welcome to the guests from the Maritime State University. Then he briefed the guests on the basic information about SMU. He said that there had been several exchange activities and study programs since the establishment of the cooperative relationship between the two universities. He hoped that the two sides could expand their cooperation in the realm of internship on board, scientific research programs and the teachers’ communications.
After the conference, all the teachers and students from the Maritime State University visited the COSTAMARE Engine Room Integrated Laboratory, the Marine Engine Simulator of SMU and so on accompanied by Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU.
Afterwards, more than 30 teachers and students from the Merchant Marine College of SMU paid a visit to the training ship NADEZHDA of the Maritime State University accompanied by Dr. Oleg A. Bukin.
