The Northeast Asia Maritime Safety Cooperation Project Conference, co-hosted by China Institute of International Studies and University of California's Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation, was held at Dalian from September 24th to September 25th. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU delivered a speech on communications protocol including topics like the effect and efficiency of communication among merchant ships, public service ships and naval vessels. His speech triggered hot discussion and gained high acknowledgement among the conference representatives.
