Mr. Ashok Mahapatra, Senior Deputy Director of Maritime Safety Division, IMO attended Naming Ceremony of New Training Ship of SMU

On Dec. 12th, Mr. Ashok Mahapatra, Senior Deputy Director of Maritime Safety Division, IMO, on behalf of Mr. Koji Sekimizu, Secretary-General of IMO, attended the Naming Ceremony of the New Training Ship of SMU. The training ship of the Shanghai Maritime University is a 48000 DWT Bulk Carrier built by the SMU itself and it is the most advanced and best-equipped vessel of its kind by so far.
