The SMU Commendation Congress of Scientific and Technological Achievements 2012 Was Held Grandly

On the morning of January 16th, the SMU Commendation Congress of Scientific and Technological Achievements 2012 was held at the library hall of SMU. Leaders of SMU, namely, Prof. Yu Shicheng, Prof. Huang Youfang, Prof. Kong Fancun, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Mr. Xiao Baojia, Mr. Yang Wanfeng, and Mr. Wang Haiwei; all the professors and associate professors, heads of key disciplinary areas and directors of key research bases attended the congress.

Merchant Marine College, Logistics Engineering College as well as College of Information Engineering won the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Contribution Awards.  College of Arts and Sciences won the Scientific and Technological Contribution Award. 12 research groups won the Scientific and Technological Achievement Awards, 37 research groups won the Academic Thesis Awards, and 33 research groups won the Patent of Invention Awards.
