Prof. Yu Shicheng, Chairman of SMU University Council Attended the Inauguration of BIMCO Shanghai Center & Senior Leadership Forum and Delivered a Speech

On February 25, Prof. Yu Shicheng, Chairman of SMU University Council attended the inauguration of BIMCO Shanghai Center & Senior Leadership Forum and delivered a speech entitled “Cooperation with BIMCO” at the Forum.

Prof. Yu Shicheng said that as the largest non-governmental and international shipping association with diversified operation patterns, BIMCO carries a big weight in the global shipping industry. Since 2007, BIMCO and SMU initiated a series of effective cooperation and communication programs. Now the BIMCO Shanghai Center is located in the SMU Campus on Dongming Road, which facilitates the two sides’ cooperation. Both sides decides to deepen their cooperation in aspects of international shipping education, consultation and decision making, and information service in an all-round and more practical way so as to provide more manpower and intellectual supports for the development of international shipping industry.
Prof. Yu Shicheng was also interviewed by Phoenix TV of Hong Kong about the trends of international shipping market.
