The 9th International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing & Logistics Systems Was Opened Grandly by SMU

The 9th International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing & Logistics Systems, hosted by Shanghai Maritime University, was opened grandly on the morning of February 28th at Radisson Hotel. Numerous prestigious scholars in the field of logistics and manufacturing participated in the conference.

Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee firstly express his gratitude to the scholars who has participated in this conference. Then he elaborated on the significance of logistics industry and logistics technologies development and also introduced the discipline construction and research development of SMU. Prof. Mohamed Dessouky (Chief Editor of Computers & Industrial Engineering) from University of Southern California and Prof. Jian Zhenfu, Vice President of National Tsing Hua University each delivered a welcome speech.

The duration of the conference is three days. 26 seminars will be held, which cover the following aspects, port logistics, supply chain, logistic decision-making, intelligent logistics, etc. The represents who participate in the conference will also visit the Yangshan Bonded Port Area. This is the second time that SMU hold such s conference since 2008.
