On the morning of May 24, Mr. Sun Xiushun, President of Singapore Winning International Group, along with another 2 guests paid a visit to Lingang Campus of SMU. Prof. Yu Shicheng, Chairman of SMU University Council and leaders from relevant departments gave a warm reception.
Prof. Yu Shicheng extended warm welcome to the guests, expressed his appreciation for the bursary supported by Winning International Group and introduced the development of SMU as well as the use of “Winning Shipping Bursary”.
During the talks, the two sides exchanged opinions on the bursary, talent recruitment, industry-school-research cooperation and legal questions about shipping transportation.
In order to support shipping education and help SMU students who were financially difficult complete their study, Winning International Group set up a program entitled “Wining Shipping Bursary”, providing 500,000 yuan as financial support each year. Nearly 150 SMU students have benefited from it every year, gaining funding and realizing their dreams of studying abroad.
