From September 19th to September 20th, the 12th International Vacuum Insulation Symposium (IVIS 2015) and the Design Contest of Environment-friendly Materials for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction were held in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The team of SMU “Dream of Blue Ocean”, consisting of Prof. Zhang Xuelai, Teacher Kan Ankang and their students Huang Liang, Wang Chong and others got the “Gold Medal of VIP Excellent Design International Works”. This team defeated other ten teams from China and abroad by its work Cylindrical Vacuum Insulation Panel after a fierce competition.
IVIS 2015 is an important international academic event of Vacuum Insulation Panel (VIP). IVIS was held biennially in Europe and America before. This was the first time that IVIS was held in Asia. More than 300 Industry experts and business representatives coming from America, the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Israel, Japan and other countries and regions attended the IVIS 2015.
