Mr. Yang Wanfeng, Vice President of SMU was invited to attend and deliver a speech at the 3rd International Ship Finance Summit Forum, co-held by BIMCO and the website of www.ship.sh, on Oct 12th.
Mr. Yang Wanfeng pointed out in his speech that international trade, shipping and shipbuilding industry continue to worsen in recent years, which make lots of companies have a hard time. Meanwhile, international ship finance makes great contribution to global shipping industry. Mr. Yang also mentioned that in order to adapt itself to modern shipping services and to meet China’s goals of strengthening shipping and maritime power and implementing “One Road and One Belt” strategy, SMU has carried out corresponding strategies in terms of talent training, discipline constructing and scientific research. Finally, Mr. Yang showed that SMU is willing to discuss the development of ship finance with relevant parties from home and abroad, to give its own contribution in building Shanghai into an international finance and shipping center.
During the forum, Mr. Wang Yougui, alumni of the year 1979 of SMU and co-founder & CEO of Seaspan, the world largest independent container shipping company, gave his speech themed on “How Seaspan Create World-class Fleet”.
