Paul J. D’Anieri, Provost and Executive Vice President of University of California, Riverside (UCR), together with other 5 colleagues, visited SMU on Oct, 30th. Prof. Mr. Paul’s delegation was received by Prof. Jin Yongxing, Chairman of SMU University Council together with heads of International Office, College of Transport &Communications, School of Economics & Management and Scientific Research Academy.
Prof. Jin Yongxing,extent his welcome and gave a brief introduction of SMU to Mr. Paul’s delegation. And he showed that since a cooperation agreement was signed between SMU and UCR at the beginning of 2015, the two universities witness rapid progress in joint student training and teacher exchanges. Finally, Prof. Jin hoped that Mr. Paul’s visit could facilitate cooperation between two universities.
Mr. Paul showed his delight in visiting SMU and he mentioned that UCR and SMU take their joint efforts to smooth the cooperation. He believed that the cooperation between the two universities will have fruitful results.
The two parties carried out a detailed discussion on new projects.
After discussion, Mr. Paul’s delegation, accompanied by Prof. Jin, visited such teaching facilities of SMU as the Maritime Simulation Center and the Library.
