From Oct, 31st to Nov, 1st, the 2nd CACSEC National Summit Forum on the Discipline Construction of Contrastive and Translation Studies between English and Chinese was successfully held at SMU. Present at the forum were over 70 experts and scholars including Prof. Kong Fancun, Vice President of SMU, Prof. Pan Wenguo, from East China Normal University, Prof. Wang Yin, from Sichuan International Studies University, Prof. Luo Xuanmin, President of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese(CACSEC), Prof. Yan Chensong, Vice President of CACSEC, Prof. Mu Lei, from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies’ School of Interpreting & Translation Studies and Prof. Luise von Flotow, Dean of Translation and Interpretation, University of Ottawa.
