2015 SMU-NYK Prize Award Ceremony was held at SMU, on Nov, 18th. Present at the ceremony were newly-appointed Mr. Yuji Isoda, NYK Line’s chief representative for China and Prof. Jin Yongxing, Chairman of SMU University Council. And both of them issued certificates to SMU-NYK winners.
Prof. Jin Yongxing, in his speech, extented his thanks to NYK Line for its 10-year-long supports for SMU. And he also showed that he appreciate NYK Line to shoulder social responsibility for donations to schools. Finally, Prof. Jin Yongxing hopes that all the prize winners could work hard to become shipping talents and to contribute society.
Mr. Yuji Isoda introduced to students NYK Line’s history and its business events. And he mentioned that enthusiastic young faces at SMU reminded him of his university days, dozens of years ago. He hoped that all the students could study hard and made their contributions to the shipping industry.
Later on, Mr. Yuji Isoda exchanged ideas with prize winners in terms of personal growth and company management.
After the ceremony, Prof. Jin Yongxing had a further discussion with Mr. Yuji Isoda on the extension of scholarship.
