On the night of April 11, Prof. Huang Youfang, Chairman of China Institute of Navigation (CIN) and President of SMU, received Mr. John Pottle, Senior Vice President of International Association of Institute of Navigation (IAIN).
Prof. Huang Youfang briefed Mr. John Pottle on the overview of China Institute of Navigation. He showed that CIN is willing to strengthen the contact and links with IAIN and its members so as to promote the friendly cooperation and scientific exchanges with the navigation industries among countries; it is willing to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between navigation industries at home and abroad so as to push forward the development of navigation industries.
Mr. John Pottle was particularly grateful to Prof. Huang Youfang for having taken time out of busy schedule to meet him and then he introduced Prof. Huang the history and recent work of IAIN. He looked forward to the closer cooperation and mutual development with CIN and SMU.
International Association of Institute of Navigation (IAIN) was founded in 1975. It is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization with the objective of uniting national and multinational institutes and organizations which aim to foster human activities at sea, in the air, in space and on land.
