From 12th, May to 14th, Mr. Li Zhiwei, President of Hong Kong Seamen’s Union and his delegation with 40 people came to visit SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Chairman of SMU University Council and Heads of SMU International Office received all the guests.
Prof. Jin Yongxing extended his warm welcome to the delegation and briefed the guests on the overview of SMU. He expressed that Shanghai at present was boosting the construction of International Shipping Center and Hong Kong was a good example for Shanghai to learn; he hoped that the delegation could have more exchanges with SMU students and enhance mutual understanding so as to make common efforts to the development of national shipping industry.
