On May 18, SMU held the 8th International Day, which attracted over 100 overseas students of more than 40 countries to display their traditional and ethnic culture. Prof. Huang Youfang, President of SMU, together with overseas students celebrated this traditional festival at SMU.
Prof. Huang Youfang said that the international day had become a grand event of SMU. SMU will attach much importance to international education and exchanges and at the same time has got more and more world-wide attention. Prof. Huang also expressed that all the overseas students could finish their study happily and successfully at this international school.
The 8th International Day, themed on “Windows to the World, Bridge for the Friendship” and it was just like the “Mini Expo” among numerous countries. Each pavilion displayed their exotic and nation-featured culture, which caught the eyes of Chinese faculty, students as well as the nearby residents. While tasting the delicious food made by those overseas students, they deeply felt and appreciated the foreign culture full of charming styles.
