The opening ceremony for 2016 international students was held at Cosco Lecture Hall. Present in the ceremony were Prof. Shi Xin, Vice President of SMU, Heads of relevant colleges, teacher representatives as well as 70 new international students.
During the welcome message, Prof. Shi Xin, on behalf of SMU, introduced several aspects of SMU concerning the Long History, School’s Running and Education Environment; he also mentioned the great achievements made by SMU these years in international exchanges. At the same time, Prof. Shi encouraged all the new international students to adapt the new learning environment and then work hard to grasp more professional knowledge with the help of teachers and classmates; he hoped all the new students could better understand Chinese culture and finished their study at SMU successfully.
