Prof. Huang Youfang and His Delegation Attended the “Asia Navigation Conference 2016”

From 10th, November to 12th, the Asia Navigation Conference 2016(ANC2016) was held at Yeosu, South Korea. Scholars from China, Japan and South Korea, and Authors from Thailand, Malaysia and etc took part in the meeting. Prof. Huang Youfang, Chairman of China Institute of Navigation (CIN) and President of SMU, together with 24 specialists and scholars participated in the ANC2016 and exchanged ideas during thesis discussion.     

 

In the opening ceremony, chairmen from Korean Institute of Navigation and Port Research (KINPR), China Institute of Navigation (CIN) and Japan Institute of Navigation (JIN) made their speeches. 

 

Prof. Huang Youfang, on behalf of CIN, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Zheng Taiquan, Chairman of KINPR and his colleagues. Prof. Huang hoped that more Asia countries could actively joined in it and make contributions to the navigation technology of Asia and even the whole world by utilizing this academic platform through exchanging ideas, sharing information and making co-operations. 

 

After the conference, it came to the thesis group discussion. There were altogether 63 theses which contained 27 theses recommended by KINPR and 18 by CIN and JIN. In the course of discussion, Prof. Shi Chaojian, Xiao Yingjie, and Zhuo Yongqiang took charge of Session Chair. Through the two days’ discussion and selection, three theses of Mr. Cai Bing from Shanghai Pilot Station were awarded as the Excellent Paper. Prof. Huang issued the certification to Mr. Cai Bing.  

 

The conference achieved great success. Chinese delegation’s behaviors during the meeting attracted many attendees’ attention, which strengthened the influence of Chinese navigation study, helped us get knowledge of Korean and Japanese research as well as promoted the development of Chinese navigation research.
