Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement between SMU and ICS

On March 27th, Shanghai Maritime University signed the cooperation agreement with the Institute Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) by Prof. Shi Xin, Vice President of SMU and Ms. Julie Lithgow, director of ICS. The further cooperation was to focus on academic and educational levels, which was agreed by both sides. 

Before the ceremony, Prof. Shi Xin welcomed Ms. Julie Lithgow and her delegation. The two parties discussed the specific cooperative intentions and were eager to boost the program.

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, set up in 1911 and headquartered in London, is the only internationally recognized professional body representing shipbrokers, ship managers and agents throughout the world. With 25 branches in key shipping areas and 17 education centres, ICS membership represents a commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards across the shipping industry.
