On September 21, Mr. Yutaka Emi, Deputy Executive Director of IAMU Visited SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing, Chairman of SMU Council met with the guests.
Prof. Jin Yongxing extended his warm welcome to Mr. Yutaka Emi. He said SMU would, as always, support the work of IAMU to jointly promote the exchange and cooperation of maritime colleges around the world. SMU will help improve the quality and enhance the level of maritime education and training.
Mr. Yutaka Emi said that SMU is one of the world's leading maritime academies and one of the earliest members of IAMU. It has made important contributions to the development and promotion of the Association over the years.
On behalf of IAMU, Mr. Yutaka Emi awarded the new IAMU membership certificate to SMU. Prof. Jin Yongxing accepted the certificate on behalf of the school.
During the talks, Prof. Jin Yongxing, Chairman of IMLA, also discussed the cooperation between IAMU and IMLA with Mr. Yutaka Emi.
