On March 6, Mr. Erik Andreassen, Rector of Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management(MSK), and Thomas Dragoe, Vice-Rector of MSK paid a visit to SMU. Jin Yongxing, Vice President of SMU met with the guests. Leaders of International Education College and Merchant Marine College also attended the meeting.
Mr. Jin stated that in recent years, the cooperation between our university and MSK has progressed smoothly. The two sides have conducted good cooperation in student exchange, curriculum training, and teachers exchange. Students have benefited greatly from this. He expects that the two parties will further deepen cooperation and conduct exchanges on more levels.
Mr. Erik Andreasse said that SMU is one of MSK's most important partners in Asia. The new campus of MSK is equipped with more perfect teaching equipment. He hopes that MSK could further expand cooperation with SMU in terms of curriculum training and summer programs to cultivate more talents for the shipping industry.
After the talks, the teachers of our school briefly introduced the construction of MTCC-Asia (Maritime technology cooperation center, Asia) and the ship's air emission monitoring system. Mr. Erik Andreasse expressed his appreciation to our university for hosting MTCC-Asia, and he expected to be able to assist MTCC-Asia in the future, and to promote the cooperation between MTCC-Asia and Danish enterprises.
Directly under the Danish National Maritime Bureau, MSK is one of the largest maritime engineering institutes in Denmark. Since 2011, the two universities have conducted fruitful cooperation in student exchange, teacher exchange, sharing of teaching resources and so on.
