On April 19th, Azni, Chartering Clean Products Manager ofPETCO (a wholly owned subsidiary of Petronas, Malaysia) and three othersvisited SMU accompanied by representatives of COSCO. Yang Bin, Dean of SMUGraduate School, met with guests. The relevant staff from Merchant MarineCollege and International Office attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues suchas expert consultants, international standards, professional training, LNG andlogistics, and reached a preliminary consensus on the provision of professionaltraining courses.
Petronas is a state-owned company in Malaysia. It isengaged in the development and transportation of oil and natural gas and hasoperations in more than 50 countries and regions. PETCO, subsidiary of Petronas,is responsible for the sale of crude oil and petroleum products of Petronas.
