On the afternoon of April 18th, the briefing on“International Exchange Program for Outstanding Undergraduates” carried out by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) was successfully held. Students who were selected for the relevant exchange programs attended.
The “International Exchange Program for Outstanding Undergraduates” is organized and implemented by the CSC, aiming at further promoting cooperation between high-level universities in China and world-renowned universities and institutions, promoting multicultural exchanges and improving students’ awareness of innovation, practical ability, and international competitiveness, so that it can meet the needs to train high-quality international talents in professional and academic fields. This program is mainly intended for universities listed in the “985 Project”, “211 Project” and “Key Discipline Projects”. It selects outstanding students from the sophomore or above to go to foreign top universities or institutions for 3 to 12 months of course study, graduation design or internships in international organizations, companies, and laboratories. Recently, SMU applied for the project for the first time and was granted three projects including Undergraduate Exchange Program between SMU and BI Norwegian Business School, Undergraduate Exchange Program between SMU and Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and Undergraduate Exchange Program between SMU and Inha University.
