On June 14th, Mr. Torben Orting Jorgensen, Senior Managing Director of Maersk Broker, Christian Columned Michelsen, Head of Sales and Marketing at Maersk Training and two representatives from Shanghai Liang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. visited SMU. Mr. Yang Wanfeng, Vice-President of SMU received the guests and the responsible person of relevant college attended the meeting.
Mr. Yang stated that SMU has a long history of maritime education and focused on the training of shipping talents as well as the research and application of new energy technology. The arrival of the Maersk leaders has created a good opportunity for both parties to carry out substantial training project. SMU will continue to promote the research on new energy and safety shipping operating system. SMU is willing to conduct all-round cooperation with Maersk Training Center in the future.
Mr. Torben said that SMU has a wide range of influence in the field of shipping education. The Maersk Training Center expects to cooperate with SMU to jointly develop the training of safety operation and management system in the field of marine wind power in China.
Mr. Kristen introduced the development of the Maersk Training Center, and he hopes to take this opportunity to lead the relatively mature safety training system of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) into the Chinese wind power industry to reduce the work risk and global environmental risks.
After the meeting, Mr. Torben visited the school water training center and the "Wu Song" combined liquid cargo simulator.
