On June 9, Accra, Ghana time, the graduation ceremony of the fifth SMU- RMU Joint B.Sc. Degree Program in Logistics Management and the 2018 graduation ceremony of RMU (Regional Maritime University) were held in Accra, Ghana. Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Regional Maritime University and Commissioner, Liberia Maritime Authority, Hon. Dr James F. Kollie, Minister of Transport, Republic of Ghana and the immediate Past Chairman of RMU Board of Governors, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Minister of Transport, Republic of Cameroon, Hon. Ngalle Bihehe Ernest, Minister of Transport, works & Infrastructure, Republic of The Gambia, Hon. Bai Lamin Jobe, Minister of Transport and Aviation, Republic of Sierra Leone, Hon. Kabineh M. Kallon, the Secretary - General, MOWCA, Hon. Alain Michel Luvambano, Yingen Ge, Dean of the College of Transport & Communications at SMU, Vice Provost of Shanghai Maritime University, Prof. An Yan and other distinguished guests were invited to the ceremony.
On behalf of the president of SMU, An delivered a speech on the ceremony and issued these graduates B.Sc. Degree and diplomas of SMU. An congratulated the graduates and expressed her appreciation to the hardworking teachers. An wished that the graduates could feel grateful to the support, assist and instruction from their parents, teachers and classmates, and persist in pursuing dreams for their own youth.
Elvis Nyarko, President of RMU, said: “B.Sc. Degree Program in Logistics Management has been very fruitful and the graduates are on the top of the employment list. Thanks for SMU’s cooperation with Ghana and its great contribution to the construction of west-central Africa.”
These graduates were issued B.Sc. Degree and diplomas conferred by SMU, and gained Bachelor’s Degree of RMU.
