On August 17, President Huang Youfang paid a visit to National University of Singapore and Singapore Management University, and hold profound discussion on issues of cooperation and mutual development.
President Huang introduced SMU’s developmental advantages and listed SMU’s significant measures on serving national strategies and industrial development in recent years. President Huang said: SMU has made fruitful achievements in the fields of shipping, logistics, ocean, supply chain and the like. SMU would be honored to build a long-term and effective cooperation mechanism with Singapore universities to integrate resources and have complementary advantages. Meanwhile, with well-grounded cooperation, the both parties could grasp cooperative opportunities together and have intensive collaboration in various fields like scientific research, talents training, talent introduction and so on, providing new methods and new notions for the mutual development of universities from China and Singapore.
SMU has achieved the intention of cooperation with National University of Singapore on the facets like student exchange, scholars visit, big data research, and will sign cooperative agreement in the near future.
