From November 26th to 27th, Asian Navigation Conference 2018 opened in Makuhari Messe, Japan. Youfang Huang, President of Shanghai Maritime University and President of China Institute of Navigation attended the conference with a delegation. Relative teachers and students from SMU also participated in this magnificent event.
On the opening ceremony, Presidents of China Institute of Navigation, Japan Institute of Navigation and Korean Maritime Harbor Society delivered speeches respectively. President Huang pointed out “Asian Navigation Conference has been encouraging young to do scientific research and exchanges since its establishment. Only by assimilating more young scholars, the shipping industry could have a vigorous backbone. Now, the whole world is going through rapid development not only in economy but also in maritime technological research, confronted with this, China Institute of Navigation appeals all people to make joint efforts for talent training, exchange and application of technological achievements.”
Asian Navigation Conference is hosted annually by China Institute of Navigation, Japan Institute of Navigation and Korean Maritime Harbor Society jointly, and this year it was organized by Japan Institute of Navigation.
