The 16th World Congress of the IAIN (International Association of Institutes of Navigation) was held in Chiba Japan from November 28th to 30th. Youfang Huang, President of Shanghai Maritime University and China Institute of Navigation attended the congress with a delegation.
President Huang delivered a speech in the closing ceremony. He said, “Even though it still has 6 years to go for the upcoming 18th World Congress of the IAIN in China, we sincerely hope that all attendees today could join in us. Meantime, China Institute of Navigation would continue to maintain close relationship with all the allies. We promise to pay closer attention to technological advancement in shipping industry and make greater contributions to the development of IAIN. ”
IAIN is a non-profit NGO uniting national and multinational organization. China Institute of Navigation became a member of it in 1988. Organizing the triennial IAIN World Congress is one of the activities responsible for IAIN. This year’s congress was organized by Japan Institute of Navigation and participated by representatives across the world.
