On the afternoon of December 12th, Awards Ceremony of the 3rd Study Abroad Video Contest was held in the library. Teachers from International Office, Secretaries for Foreign Affairs from each college and student representatives attended the ceremony.
On the ceremony, Mr. Zhou Jiayu from International Office presented awards to the winners jointly with Secretaries for Foreign Affairs.
Ms Ling Xiong from International Office introduced the general situation of SMU’s Study Abroad programs, application procedures and the like. Three students who have participated in the overseas exchange projects shared their feelings and gains in the Massachusetts Maritime College exchange program, the American (internship) volunteer project, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University exchange program respectively.
Up to now, SMU altogether has 77 overseas programs and 638 students were selected to join these programs in 2018.
