On December 18th, a delegation headed by Aladar Bogar Rodriguez Diaz, the Director of MTCC Latin America and the President of International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP), visited SMU. Vice President Shi Xin met with the guests. Related faculties from International Office, International Education College, Merchant Marine College attended the meeting.
Vice President Shi extended his warm welcome to the delegation. He briefly introduced SMU’s history, subject setting and international corporation development. He hoped SMU and UMIP can have further cooperation in student exchange and teachers interaction.
UMIP President Aladar Bogar Rodriguez Diaz expressed sincere gratefulness for the warm reception. He said that, with geographical advantages and educational characteristics, UMIP wishes to have a broad corporation with SMU in the field of maritime education and scientific research.
During the visit, President Aladar also had a cordial exchange with the Panamanian students in SMU.
