On March 4th, Spring International Classofficially opened at SMU. Attendees include Vice President of SMU, Xin Shi,Heads and teachers from related Colleges as well as over 90 internationalstudents.
Vice President Xin Shi at first expressed cordialgreetings to all international students. Then, Pro.Shi expounded SMU’s latestfruits on disciplinary construction and international exchange. On top of that,Pro.Shi also wished that these excellent students could acquire professionalknowledge and at the same time get familiar with the charm of Chinese cultureand history.
After Pro.Shi, Fang Yin from College of OceanScience and Engineering as a representative teacher and Misoayn from Georgia asa representative of international student gave speeches respectively.
Participants of this opening ceremony mainly werestudents from oversea exchange program and SMU-MSK Training Program. They came from over 10different countries, such as America, Denmark, South Korea, Russia, Georgia, Romaniaand so on.
