On June 4, Santiago Garcia, DeputyDirector of Maritime Safety Administration of Mexico, Mario A. Camacho Vidal,IMO Maritime Ambassador for Mexico visited SMU. Vice President of SMU, Shi Xinand heads of International Office and Merchant Marine College welcomed theguests.
Vice President Shi Xin at first expressedcordial greetings to the distinguished guests and briefed them on the latestdevelopment of SMU. He said that since the signing of the cooperation agreementat the beginning of this year, the two sides have been pushing forward theimplementation of cooperation projects and he hoped that both sides couldfurther promote bilateral cooperation.
Deputy Director Garcia said that hisdelegation was deeply impressed by SMU. They hoped that students fromMexico Maritime College could come to SMU for exchange study and short-termtraining.
The two sides discussed in details aboutinternational courses, short-term training for students of Mexico MaritimeCollege and scientific research cooperation of Navigation simulator.
