On August 5, the choir of SMU was invited to attend the 2nd Jeollabuk-do International Youth Culture and Sports Festival held at Jeonju in South Korea, making the voice of China heard.
At the opening ceremony, the choir sang the song" My Motherland and Me", which aroused the patriotic enthusiasm and the national pride of the Chinese students present.
The choir also visited Jeonju University, Woosuk University and Korea University, and sang the school song of SMU-- Breaking the Wave Forward, which, through the lyrics and background, let the world feel the maritime characteristics and brought different cultural experiences to Korean students.
During the visit, the modest and polite image of the choir members was highly appreciated by the international friends. They had showed the elegance of Chinese students to the world with practical actions.
