President Huang Youfang participated in the first meeting of the Executive Committee of IAIN in 2020

On May 11, 2020, the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Institutes of Navigation (IAIN) in 2020 was held online. The meeting was presided over by Jonh Pottle, President of IAIN. Mr. Huang Youfang, Senior Vice President of IAIN, Chairman of the Eighth Chinese Institute of Navigation and President of SMU, attended the meeting.

 

The attendants discussed the financial report for 2019, the five-year development plan after 2021, the selection process of the chairman, the nomination of members of the 2021-2024 session of the executive committee, the work report of the world congress, and the review of awards in 2021. President Huang Youfang participated in the discussion and made suggestions on related topics.


The meeting was originally scheduled to be held in Dresden, Germany, and was changed to a video format due to the impact of the epidemic. Representatives from the Royal Institute of Navigation, the Arab Institute of Navigation, the Japan Institute of Navigation, the Korean Institute of Navigation and Ports, the Dutch Institute of navigation, the Nordic Institute of navigation, the Austrian Institute of navigation, the American Institute of navigation attended the meeting.
