The 15th Graduation Ceremony of the MSc Program in International Transport and Logistics was Successfully Held on Line

On August 24, the 15th Graduation Ceremony of the MSc Program in International Transport and Logistics (ITL) jointly run by SMU and World Maritime University (WMU) was held online. Attendees at the ceremony included Prof. Lu Jing, President of SMU, Prof. Xin Shi, Vice President of SMU, Dr. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry, President of WMU, and Mr. Ma Shuo, Vice President of WMU. All graduates participated in this "cloud" graduation ceremony via video conference online.

Before the ceremony, President Lu Jing and Dr. Doumbia-Henry exchanged greetings via video. During the ceremony, they delivered speeches respectively. They congratulated the graduates on their achievements, affirmed the plentiful fruits gained by ITL Program during the 16 years’ cooperation, and sincerely hoped SMU and WMU would further strengthen cooperation in maritime education and scientific research based on this project. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Shi Xin. Dr. Doumbia-Henry awarded certificates to the graduates online. Mr. Ma Shuo announced the outstanding graduates and Ms. Yu Hongrong, Director of the International Office of SMU awarded SMU-IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors) scholarships.

The ITL Program has now cultivated over 500 senior professionals, including 40 international students, for the field of international transportation and logistics. There are 24 graduates this year in ITL Master Program, 4 of them are international students from Netherlands, South Korea, Malaysia and Trinidad and Tobago.
