Chu Beiping
Vice Chair of the Shanghai Maritime University Council ; President
Chu Beiping, male, born in May 1972, is a master’s degree holder, Doctor of Laws, professor and doctoral supervisor. He was Dean of the Law School and Vice President of Dalian Maritime University. He now serves as Vice Chair of the Shanghai Maritime University Council and President of Shanghai Maritime University, starting on December 27, 2023.
In addition, he holds positions as Member of the Executive Council of the Comité Maritime International, Member of the Law Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, Vice President of the China Association of Insurance Law, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of International Law and Executive Director of the China Association for Legal Education.
He has been selected into China’s National Thousand Talents program, and has also received the honorary title of “Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions” as well as the nomination award for 8th National Outstanding Young Jurists.
