ESC Rennes, founded in 1990, is a research-based business school based in Rennes, Brittany, France. In 1996, it became member of the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). 1. Brief introduction to the program
3+1.5 SMU-ESC Rennes Joint Education Programs: Students from College of Economics and Management will complete the first three years’ undergraduate study at SMU and then go to the ESC Rennes to study for one and a half years. After students have successfully accomplished their academic courses, they shall be eligible to be awarded Certificates of Master Degree by ESC Rennes.
3.5+1.5 SMU-ESC Rennes Joint Education Programs: Students from College of Economics and Management will complete the first three and one half years’ undergraduate study at SMU and then go to the ESC Rennes to study for one and a half years. After students have successfully accomplished their academic courses, they shall be eligible to be awarded Certificates of Master Degree by ESC Rennes.
4+1.5 SMU-ESC Rennes Joint Education Programs: Students from College of Economics and Management will complete their four-year undergraduate course at SMU and then go to the ESC Rennes to study for one and a half years. After students have successfully accomplished their academic courses, they shall be eligible to be awarded Certificates of Master Degree by ESC Rennes.
2. Requirements of Admission to ESC Rennes:
(1) Students should have already obtained required credits (equivalent to 180 ECTS credits or 120 US credits) and provide the certificate indicating they will be granted the bachelor degree after completing undergraduate studies.
(2) IELTS overall score should reach or exceed 6.5.
Or TOEFL IBT score should reach or exceed 80.
Or TOEIC score should reach or exceed 750.
(3) There is no requirement for French language but if electives in French are chosen, proficiency in French will be also required (minimum: DELF B2, DALF C1 or TCF/TEF).
3. The duration of the program
The duration of Master Program (MA & MSc) at ESC Rennes is 15 to 16 months including coursework (from September to April) and dissertation writing (from May to November); 4-6 months of internship (from May to November) is compulsory for MSc program and optional for MAIB program. An optional Winter Session of 2 weeks in January is included into the Master MA, MSc program. Students may be sent to one of the partner universities of ESC Rennes in Europe.
4. Fees
The tuition fees of 1.5 years’ master course are 15,000 €. The fees in total, including tuition fees and living expenses are about 170, 000 RMB.
