Old Dominion University, located in the City of Norfolk in the metropolitan Hampton Roads region of coastal Virginia, is a dynamic public research institution. It was established in 1930 as the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary and is now one of the largest universities in Virginia with an enrollment of 24,670 students. 1. Brief introduction to the program
This Program is carried out between SMU and ODU since 2012. The target students of the program should be the postgraduates and PhD students from SMU, majoring in Economic Administration, Transportation, Law, Logistics Management, Information Engineering, or Ocean Engineering. Those students can apply to go to ODU to study for one semester, after completing the required course at ODU, students shall be eligible to obtain the certificate indicating this learning experience. Students need to go back to SMU for completing the remaining course and attending viva in order to be awarded Certificates of Master Degree by SMU.
2. The duration of the program
From March to June, or from September to December.
3. Requirements of Admission to ODU
(1) Applicants should be the postgraduates and PhD students from SMU, majoring in Economic Administration, Transportation, Law, Logistics Management, Information Engineering, or Ocean Engineering.
(2) Basic English communication skills are required before going to ODU.

(1) Tuition fee is about 6500 USD
(2) Accommodation fee is about 3000 USD per semester
(3) Meal charges is about 1000 USD per semester
(4) International traveling expense is about 2500 USD
(5) Other expense is about 500 USD
