SMU Students Won Prizes in the 7th National Contest on Logistics Design by University Students

From April 23 to 25, the finals of the Sinotrans Cup 7th National Contest on Logistics Design by University Students, co-sponsored by the Logistics Management and Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, was held at Beijing Wuzi University. Two teams of SMU led by teachers Gao Zhijun, Liu Wei and Sun Ling finally stood out from the 90 teams in the finals and won the national first prize and the national third prize respectively.

SMU attached great importance to the contest. Before the finals, President Lu Jing went to the College of Transport & Communications to encourage the teachers and students who are busy preparing for the contest. SMU also organized teachers Hu Zhihua and Zhu Xiaolin to give specialized guidance to the two teams. Under the guidance of the instructor, the students in each group of five actively carry out enterprise research and pre contest training. According to the requirements of the cotest, all team members work together to complete the scheme design and report writing, and finally submit the design works to the Organizing Committee for final review.

The National Contest on Logistics Design by University Students is the most professional, authoritative and practical university students' logistics contest in China, which is held every two years. The purpose of the contest is to realize the combination of logistics teaching and practice, improve university students' comprehensive ability, promote the reform of university logistics talent training mode, and better cultivate logistics talents.
